Were almost there!!!
If you are serious about turning to
God and living his way then here are some steps for you to follow:
1. Admit to God that you are a sinner, and that you have blown it.
2. Belive that Jesus died to set you free and ask him for his forgivness.
3. Follow Jesus. Start living the Way that he wants you to live.
Jesus Tells us that he Stands at the
Door and Knocks, and if you invite him in, Well then he will come in.
You want to Invite him in but you don't
know how?
Do it through prayer. If you want you can pray this simple prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, I understand that I'm a sinner. I belive that you died to
set me free. Jesus, please forgive me for all the wrong I have done, please
come into my life and make me whole. I commit myself to following you, please
help me to be more like you.
Thanks you for saving me Lord, Amen.
If you just prayed that prayer, and
really meant it, then Jesus has come into your life. Not only that, but he has
also forgiven you for all your sin
You may not feel any differn't. Well thats ok, you don't have to rely on your
feelings. All that matters is that you understand that you are now forgiven,
and that you are going to goto heaven one day.
Becoming Christian is just the Birth. Now comes a life time of Growth
What to do now?
Well, here are some things that will help you grow into your newly found faith:
Read God's word Daily
If you don't know what that is, it is the Bible. It is the 'Manufacture's Handbook'
and will give you understanding of the new life you have just started. When
you read God's advice it wont mean anything unless you follow it. If you don't
have access to a bible, Check out http://www.studylight.org.
Also, the daily devotionals at http://www.heartlight.org
are very good.
Talk to God
We usally call this praying. Don't just pray when you are trouble, talk to God
about everything. God is a friend, and he is with you always. Talk to him about
life just as you would to any other friend.
Goto Church
You need to have a place where you can be built up. A place where you can learn
about God. You need to join in with other Christians.
Live for God
Put God first. Do what he tells you to do through the bible. Don't do things
he dosn't approve of.
